At Medivisor, we are committed to delivering high-quality medical care while keeping expenses in check. Through careful planning, clinical coordination, and long-standing partnerships, we manage costs for our patients—without ever compromising treatment standards.
Bulk Business with Hospital and Doctors
We operate on a high-volume referral model. By consistently referring patients to top hospitals and doctors, we negotiate significantly better rates for consultations, procedures, surgeries, and room charges. These savings are passed directly on to our patients, making premium care more affordable.
Hotel Stay Instead of Hospital Stay
Unless medically urgent, patients are taken directly from the airport to a hotel, not the hospital. Hotel stays are substantially more cost-effective than hospital admission. This approach also gives patients time to rest, hydrate, and recover from their journey before beginning treatment. We ensure that accommodations are safe, clean, and located within walking distance of the hospital and our office.
Outpatient (OPD) Investigation Over Inpatient (IPD)
We arrange all diagnostics-blood tests, imaging, and consultations-on an outpatient basis whenever possible. Inpatient testing often adds substantial room and service charges. Our in-house medical team works closely with treating doctors to ensure only essential tests are performed. Unnecessary, repetitive, or excessive procedures are eliminated. When feasible, we use accredited private labs that maintain clinical quality while offering lower pricing.
Optimized Admission and ICU Usage For surgeries, all preoperative workups are done as outpatient. Patients are admitted only on the day of surgery or one day prior, provided their medical condition allows. This avoids unnecessary hospital stay charges. Similarly, ICU use is minimized and strictly based on clinical necessity. Patients are shifted to wards as soon as they are stable-reducing high ICU costs and avoiding prolonged critical care stays when not needed.
Rational Medication and Equipment Use We ensure that medications, surgical consumables, and medical equipment are prescribed appropriately. Our doctors verify brand, dosage, and pricing. We also ensure that patients aren't charged for items they didn't use-a common issue in hospital billing.
Early and safe Discharge We aim to discharge patients as soon as they are medically stable. Every extra hospital day adds to the bill - not just through room rent, but also through daily consultations, medications, and services. Our team closely monitors patient progress and coordinates with doctors to ensure timely yet safe discharge, striking the right balance between care and cost.
Home Care as an Affordable Alternative When necessary, we shift patient to home care and provide at-home medical support in two specific situations:
When a patient is unable to afford increasing hospital bills, but still requires supervised care.
When a patient is medically stable but needs prolonged IV antibiotics or similar follow-up treatment
This approach reduces hospitalization costs while maintaining continuity of care through trained nurses and medical supervision at home.
Fill Bill Negotiation and Scrutiny Before discharge, we conduct a detailed review of the hospital bill. Our team identifies overcharges, duplicate entries, or unjustified costs - and actively negotiates with hospital billing team for reductions. In many cases, we're able to get substantial discounts, ensuring patients are only paying for what was truly needed and received.
Continuous Audit and Learning We maintain a record of past bills, treatment paths, and patient feedback. This allows us to refine our cost - control strategies over time and make data-driven decision that improve future outcomes and affordability.
In - House Medical Team Advantage Everything above is made possible by our dedicated, in-house medical team. They coordinate closely with the treating specialists, validate clinical decisions, and keep the patient's interest at the centre of every discussion. Their medical expertise, negotiation skills, and deep understanding of hospital systems ensure that treatment is efficient, necessary, and never wasteful.
By combining strategic partnership, medical oversight, and ethical commitment, Medivisor ensure that international patients receive world-class treatment at the most reasonable cost - with full transparency and zero compromises.
