Port Vila, 09 Feb 2024: The Ministry of Health Vanuatu and Medivisor India Treatment have forged a significant partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at facilitating easy accessibility to high-class medical treatment in India for patients approved by the Ministry's Overseas Referral Committee.

The MOU also encompasses capacity building initiatives designed to empower Vanuatu's medical and healthcare workforce through training programs and knowledge exchange.

The collaboration between the Ministry of Health Vanuatu and Medivisor India Treatment underscores a shared commitment to ensuring the well-being of Vanuatu's citizens, especially those in need of specialized medical care beyond the country's borders. Under the terms of the MOU, Medivisor India Treatment will facilitate the logistics and treatment arrangements for patients referred to India, ensuring a seamless and efficient process for accessing world-class medical services.

Furthermore, the partnership will focus on capacity building efforts to enhance the skills and knowledge of Vanuatu's medical and healthcare workers. Through training programs and knowledge exchange initiatives, professionals in Vanuatu will have the opportunity to learn from experts in India, ultimately strengthening the healthcare infrastructure and improving healthcare outcomes for the people of Vanuatu.

Hon.John Still Tariqetu, Minister of Health, Vanuatu, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, "This partnership with Medivisor India Treatment marks a significant step forward in our efforts to provide the highest quality healthcare services to our citizens.

By leveraging the expertise and resources of Medivisor India Treatment, we can ensure that patients referred overseas receive the best possible care, while also enhancing the skills and knowledge of our medical workforce through capacity building initiatives."

Mr. Kumar Sushant, Director, Medivisor India Treatment, echoed this sentiment, saying, "We are honored to partner with the Ministry of Health Vanuatu in this endeavor to improve healthcare accessibility and capacity building in Vanuatu. Through this collaboration, we aim to not only provide high-class treatment to patients referred to India but also contribute to the development of a stronger and more resilient healthcare system in Vanuatu through training and knowledge exchange programs."

The Ministry of Health Vanuatu and Medivisor India Treatment are committed to working closely together to ensure the successful implementation of the MOU and to make meaningful strides towards enhancing healthcare access and capacity building in Vanuatu. This partnership exemplifies a shared vision of improving the well-being of all citizens and strengthening healthcare systems for the future.
