Currently serving as the Chairman of the Department of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi, he is recognized as a premier global authority in the management of complex circulatory disorders. His career is defined by elite military service in the Indian Navy and leadership roles at the highest levels of international vascular societies.
Dr. Bedi is a leading specialist in the surgical management of stroke prevention and aortic health. He holds one of the largest personal series in India for eversion and modified eversion endarterectomies, a sophisticated surgical technique used to treat carotid artery stenosis and prevent strokes. His expertise also encompasses the advanced endovascular management of aortic aneurysms, where he utilizes minimally invasive stent-graft technology to repair life-threatening vascular dilations with high precision.
A veteran of the Indian Navy with 30 years of service, Dr. Bedi has been recognized for his exceptional contributions to medical disaster relief and military medicine. He was decorated with the Nao Sena Medal for his service during the Gujarat earthquake and received the GOC-In-C Western Command Commendation Card for his work at the prestigious Army Hospital (Research & Referral). In 2017, he was honored with the invitation to deliver the Robert Rutherford Oration at the European Society of Vascular Surgery in France, presenting his insights on "Terror Trauma." As a founder member of the Vascular Society of India and an honorary corresponding member of the German Vascular Society, he remains a central figure in international surgical discourse.
For over 30 years, Dr. Bedi has served as a mentor and examiner, shaping the careers of numerous vascular surgeons. He is a driving force behind the IVES Endovascular Live Meeting, one of the largest educational forums of its kind globally.
