With a distinguished career spanning 34 years, she is widely celebrated for her tenure at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), where she developed India's first state-of-the-art comprehensive movement disorders specialty. Her work has fundamentally transformed the treatment landscape for Parkinson’s disease and dystonia in the region.
Dr. Behari was a trailblazer in introducing advanced therapeutic interventions to India, including Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) for Parkinson’s disease and specialized Botulinum Toxin (Botox) therapy for neurological conditions.
