Dr. Balbir Singh serves as the Chairman of Cardiology Pan Max, where he leads the cardiovascular department across the entire Max Healthcare network. In this high-level leadership role, he is responsible for setting the standards of clinical excellence, overseeing research and training, and directing the prestigious DNB program in Cardiology. His work ensures that every patient at Max receives care that is governed by the highest quality and safety protocols.
Before joining Max Healthcare in 2019, Dr. Singh completed a highly successful decade-long tenure as the Chairman of Interventional Cardiology and Electrophysiology at Medanta – The Medicity. His professional journey also includes senior positions at Apollo Hospital, Fortis Heart Institute, and Batra Hospital, as well as serving as a Senior Professor at the prestigious AIIMS. This breadth of experience makes him one of the most versatile and respected cardiologists in the country.
Dr. Singh is a recognized authority in Interventional Cardiology and Electrophysiology—the study of the heart's electrical system. His technical skill has earned him international acclaim, including the "Golden Hand Award" at AICT Singapore and the "Best Operator" award at India Live. He remains at the forefront of medical research, frequently presenting late-breaking clinical trials at major international forums like APHRS in Taiwan.
Dr. Singh’s medical journey began at Maulana Azad Medical College, followed by specialized training in Cardiology at GB Pant Hospital. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and currently serves as the President of the Cardiological Society of India (Delhi Chapter). For his exceptional contributions to the field of medicine and his service to the nation, he was honored with the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2007.
